How Cremation Air Cares For Your Families

The CAIR Process gives you clear communication and documented care at every step of the Cremation Air journey.

CAIR stands for Clarity, Assurance, Integrity, and Respect – our commitment to transparency from order submission, to cremains receipt, to flight scheduling and boarding, to scattering and tribute.

CLARITY

Order Submission & Barcode Creation

The CAIR Process starts when you, the funeral director, submit an order through your Account Portal. This submission triggers the automatic generation of an Order ID and a unique barcode assigned exclusively to that individual set of cremated remains. This barcode forms the backbone of the entire CAIR system. It becomes the chain-of-custody identifier, used at every stage to document handling, movement, arrival, and scattering.

ASSURANCE

Shipping & Arrival Notification

Once packaged, send the cremated remains directly to Cremation Air via USPS. Upon arrival our intake team scans the barcode to confirm custody. The physical container is verified against the submitted order. The cremated remains are transferred into our secure holding area for scheduled flights. You will receive an immediate “Cremains Received” notification, confirming safe arrival and officially marking Cremation Air as the next responsible custodian. This step offers peace of mind for both you and the family.

INTEGRITY

Scheduling & Boarding

Cremains are verified to the accompanying barcode and order submission information, and the flight is scheduled as pending – based on the upcoming weather forecast. An email indicating the date and the planned scattering location will be sent, to you and the family.

RESPECT

Scattering & Tribute Materials

The cremains are scanned again when they leave our facility and board the airplane. A Boarding message will be sent, initiating the final step of the cremains journey. Lastly a confirmation will be sent as the cremains are scattered. The tribute is recorded and the GPS coordinates are tracked. A Final rememberance video, and official scattering certificate will be emailed within a few days of the scattering completion

Created so your families can choose aerial scattering with peace of mind, and you can offer it with confidence.
