Our Simple Process

We designed our process for aerial scattering of cremated remains with funeral directors in mind, centering it on simplicity, compliance, and dignified service.

1. Complete the Cremation Air Online Submission Form

Ensure you provide a copy of:
  • The Cremation Certificate
  • Signed Authorization to Scatter
  • Upload a photo of descendent
You will receive a unique Cremation Air barcode to track the order process.

2. Prepare Cremated Remains for Shipment

See our Helpful Links page for specific USPS shipping information.
 
All packaging must use a USPS-compliant returns container that is sift-proof. Be sure to take extra care and pad your cremains inside the shipping box.  
  • Print 4 copies of Cremation Air Barcode
  • Affix the first two copies to the outside shipping box
  • Affix the third copy to the inner cremains box
  • Place the fourth copy inside the cremains box
Please include the following with your shipment: 
  • Copy of Online Submission Confirmation
  • Your Contact Information
  • Authorization to Scatter Documentation
 
*Please remember to affix your Cremation Air barcode tracking number to the outside USPS shipping box.

3. Ship Cremated Remains to Cremation Air

Must ship vis USPS Priority Mail Express (required by law). Based on closest location.

4. Order Complete

Once the order is complete, you will receive final confirmation via email including GPS coordinates for exact scattering location.
 
A memorial video, GPS scattering location, and a Digital Scattering Certificate will all arrive via email within a few days.

5. Cremation Air Barcode

You will receive automatic emailed updates throughout your orders trip. Your unique Cremation Air barcode will be scanned every step of the way. From Order Received to Cremains Scattered, it’s important that you and your families are included in the process and know when their loved one’s memorial process is complete.
